Mary L. Cox, 78,of Ranis Road, Belleville, W.Va., former resident of Marietta, passed away at 8:57 p.m. Monday (April 14, 2008) in Cleveland Clinic.
She was born in Ritchie County, W.Va., on Nov. 23, 1929, a daughter of Robert Roscoe Edgell and Dovie Drake Edgell. She was retired from Fenton Art Glass and was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church.
She married Jimmy Russell Hendrickson, who preceded her in death. Surviving is her daughter, Nancy (Leonard) Casto, formerly of Marietta, now a resident of Parkersburg. She later married James Madison Cox, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Judy K. (Art) Fleak of Belleville, W.Va., and Jerri A. (Bill) Neska of Osceola, Wis.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Betty, Zela and Lovice.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Cox; daughter, Leona Hackathorn Johnson; and several brothers and sisters.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. No calling hours will be observed. Condolences may be phoned to 304-863-6537.
