Hazel Mae Casto, 64, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Ripley, died May 2, 2005. Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Casto Funeral Home, Evans. Friends may call two hours prior to service. Burial will be in Island Run Memorial Gardens, Sandyville.

Hazel Mae Casto
Ms. Casto, 64, of Charlotte, passed away May 2, 2005 at Presbyterian Hospital.
Ms. Casto was born October 31, 1940 in Ripley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Carl A. Casto and Mary "Addie" Hoshar Casto.
Hazel graduated from Ruthledge College with honors. Her family was of the utmost importance, she treasured all her time she spent with her family.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday May 7, 2005 at Casto Funeral Home in Evans, WV. Interment will follow at Island Run Memorial Gardens in Sandyville, WV. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 4, 2005 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel and also at Casto Funeral Home in Evans, WV from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday May 7, 2005.
Hazel is survived by her two sons, James Shamblin and wife Constance of Charlotte and Richard Shamblin and wife Melinda of Mt. Holly, NC; three daughters, Charlette Norton and husband Fred of Kannapolis, NC, Carolyn Dawson of Sandyville, WV, and Christina Shamblin and husband Charlie of Rock Hill, SC; three sisters, Minnie Sayre of Ripley, WV and children, Macil Casto of Ripley, WV, and Rebecca Suck and husband Glenn of Silverton, WV and children; thirteen grandchildren, Lisa, Amy, John, David, Benjamin, Rick, Rodney, Judd, Brandy, Misty, Brooklyn, Crystal, and Jonathan; eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Francis Casto and Margaret Casto.
