Michael Fredrick Hall
Michael Fredrick Hall, 63, of Given, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1943, at Charleston, a son of Ruth Stalnaker Hall of Statts Mills and the late Harold L. Hall. He was a member of the Grass Lick Baptist Church where he served as Church Treasurer, a Deacon and on the Trustee board. He was self-employed as an accountant. He retired from the Bank of Ripley as the Vice President in charge of Operations with 33 years service.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Joyce “Cookie” Anderson Hall; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Barbara Hall of Gay; a daughter and son-in-law, Lucinda and Jim Oiler of Ripley; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Aletha Hall of Cottageville and Jeff and Robin Hall of Statts Mill; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Bernard Parsons of Given; his grandchildren, Molli Oiler, Morgan Oiler, Maci Oiler; stepgrandchildren, Christina Bostic and Alicia Munday; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at the Grass Lick Baptist Church, Given, with Pastor Jimmie Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
