HANNAH KIRBY GIBSON (Obituary from 1950)
Hannah Kirby Gibson, 75, died at her home on Jan. 13, 1950
She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Kirby of Hur.
Surviving are her husband, George Gibson; one sister, Lottie Starcher of Hur; three sons, Harley of Stone Creek, Ohio, and Snowden and Clifford, both of Joker; four daughters, Della Starcher of Uneeda, Lona Smith of Newcomerstown, Ohio, Bessie Starcher of Akron, Ohio, and Lizzie Kirby of Hur; 55 grandchildren; and 23 great- grandchildren.
A prayer was held at the home by Rev. Glendon McKee. Services were held at Hur Church by Rev. McKee. His text was Psalm 94:19. The service was opened with the song, "Precious Memories," and closed by reading poetry.
Pallbearers and flower girls were her grandsons and granddaughters. Pallbearers were Bruce Starcher, Boyd Starcher, Berthel Starcher, Glen Smith, Okey Gibson and Roy Starcher. Flower girls were Betty Williams, Fleetice Starcher, Hazel Knox, Earless Willhite, Edna Gibson, Pauline Kirby and Marie Kirby.
