  Notes	Kerry E. Carpenter - Kerry E. "Popcorn Lady" Carpenter, 82, of Spencer died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born in Roane County, a daughter of the late Thomas T. and Ida Jane Kiser Fields. She popped popcorn for over 25 years at the Robey Theatre and worked the concession stand at the Spencer Livestock Exchange. She is survived by two sons, Jerry L. Carpenter of Spencer and Ronnie W. Carpenter of Lavonia, Ga.; one daughter, Linda Spencer of Spencer; one brother, Lovell Fields of Akron, Ohio; four sisters, Celia Epling of Elkview, Bessie Lesher of Spencer, Lucille Cantley of Comfort and Mabel Taylor of Elizabeth; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer G. Carpenter in 1989; and two brothers, Bruce and Brady Fields. Service was Sunday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial was in Bartlett/Little Creek Cemetery near Spencer.
