Ludwig was a saddler who came to PA in 1725 from Ittlingen, near Heidelberg, Germany.
Bought land in 1735 on the NE branch of Perkiomen Creek in Montgomery Co, PA near today's Norristown. His widow and their 5 sons went to the Shenandoah Valley where they all bought property near today's Harrisonburg and New Market, VA. George Adam's property was closer to Timberville. some descendats still own the Luray Caverns.
