Robert Bruce Westfall, 78 of Spencer, West Virginia died March 30, 2001 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born August 10, 1922 in Roane County West Virginia, a son of the late Darius Milford (D.M.) and Dulcie Scott Westfall. He was a construction worker, attended the Gandeeville Community Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was an active member of American Legion Post #21, Roane County Senior Citizens, Roane County Republican Headquarters, and was a member of the Lake Erie Region of the Vintage Chevy Cars of America car club.
He is survived by daughter, Karen Simmons Cerne of St Albans, WV: one son Gregory Westfall of Belpre, Ohio: 2 grandsons, Scott Simmons of Spencer, WV and Jesse Westfall of Belpre, Ohio, one great granddaughter, Haley Simmons: and a special friend, Mary Taylor of Gandeeville, WV. Bruce was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite Coker Westfall: one infant son, Robert Bruce Westfall Jr: three brothers, Milford, Ernest Dale and Paul Westfall. Service 10:30, Wednesday, April 4, 2002 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, WV, with Rev Jake Moyer officiating, Burial with military graveside rites conducted by Post #21 in Spencer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation hours 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
