John Wesley Jarvis was the youngest son of Thomas and Alsie Connolly Jarvis. John first married America Schoonover in 1866 and they had 3 children. Second, he married Ora Alice Surface in 1886 and were parents of 7 children.
John Wesley was a bugle boy for Union Co. G - 9th WV Volunteer Infanty during the Civil War. He was in the same company as his brother, Thomas P. Jarvis.
