Mrs. Mary E. Miller, 76, of Nitro, passed away Monday, May 3, 2004, at Thomas Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
She was a former employee for the State of West Virginia and a crosswalk guard for the city of Nitro.
She attended the Nitro Church of God and was a homemaker.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Urven O. and Ova L. Morris Stephens of Ripley; sister, Luiza Kitchen of Akron, Ohio; and brother, Bob Stephens of Ripley.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Quentin L. Miller at home; sons, Glenn of Hurricane and Orville ?Butch? of Nitro; brothers, Orville Stephens of Ripley and Bill Morris of Parkersburg, W.Va.; sister, Geraldine Randolph of Ripley; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2004, at Cooke Funeral Home, Chapel, Nitro with the Rev. Rob VanFossen officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Cooke Funeral Home, Nitro.
