  Notes	Charleston Daily Mail May 13, 2004 Uldena H. "Dean" Ellis Uldena H. "Dean" Ellis, 81, of Dunbar, passed away May 11, 2004, in CAMC Memorial Hospital. Uldena was born in Gandeeville, W.Va. She graduated from Clendenin High School and received a BS degree in Dietitics from WVU. Uldena was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. Uldena was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob E. Ellis Jr.; her parents, Dr. Clyde A. Harper and Stella Smith Harper; and her sister, Obyra Quick. Uldena was a member of the Charleston Baptist Temple. Uldena is survived by her daughter, Gay Ellis of Dunbar; sons, Steve Ellis and wife, Mitzi, of Greensboro, N.C., Ed Ellis and his wife, Nancy, of Charleston; sisters, Maxine O'Dell of Charleston and Jane Bond and her husband, Albert "Doc" Bond of Huntsville, Ala.; and granddaughters, Alex and Brooke. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, May 14, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. At Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, with Dr. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Harper Memorial Church Cemetery in Harmony, W.Va. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in Uldena's name to Charleston Baptist Temple, Morris and Quarrier St., Charleston, WV 25302; Harper Memorial Church, Harmony, WV; or to the charity of your choice. Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
