  Notes	Birth record shows his name as Rufus Junior, not Rufus Jr. The Rev. Roofus "Rufus" Casto Jr., 79, of Clendenin went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 25, 2008, at home. Born Sept. 22, 1929, he was the son of the late Rufus Casto Sr. and Lola Taylor Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harley "Buck" Hunt; stepmother, Earthel Hively Hunt; daughter-in-law, Sherry Miller Casto; son-in-law Denvial Sizemore; granddaughter, Debra Sizemore; grandson-in-law, Timothy Shultz; and great-granddaughter, Kiara Booher. Roofus worked for J.B. Jackson Pipeline Company and retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education in 1989 after 20 years of service as a bus driver and plumber. Roofus was a devoted preacher of several churches in the Clendenin area. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosa Schoolcraft Casto; sons, Harley ?Buck? Casto of Elkview and Lester ?Buster? Casto of Clendenin; daughters, Margaret ?Kathleen? Sizemore of Glen, Patricia ?Patty? Sizemore of Dixie and Deloris ?June? Fenton of Rocky Mount, N.C.; sisters, May Scarbrough of Florida, Thelma Pauley of Dunbar and Margie Retomozno of Virginia; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin, with the Rev. Tom Midkiff officiating. Burial will be in Casto Cemetery, Thorofare Road, Clendenin, with military rites by American Legion Post 61. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
