Rhodes Marjorie I. "Jo" Rhodes, 80, of Rocky Fork, Charleston passed away Jan. 28, 2005, at CAMC General Division after a long illness. She was a retired nursing assistant at Thomas Memorial Hospital, and had previously worked at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of Tyler Mountain Freewill Baptist Church, and a loving mother and grandmother. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, William Darrell Rhodes. Surviving are sons, Franklin D. Parsons and wife, Wanda, of Tyler County, W.Va., and Hansel Gene Parsons of Charleston; daughters, Patsy A. Thevenin and husband, Wendell, of Charleston, and Marjorie Pauline Williams and husband, Roger L., of Cross Lanes; brother, Richard Rhodes of Ohio; sister, Maxine Wyer of Elkview; grandchildren, Dale Parsons, Virginia M. Parsons, Roger G. Wines, Kimmy S. McNair, Shannon N. Parsons, and Travis G. Parsons; seven great-grandchildren; and special niece and caregiver, Sharon Wandling and family of Cross Lanes. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Fields officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home.
