Emily Jane Little, 66, of Grantsville, died Monday, March 4, 1996 at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, after a brief illness.
She was born at Cottageville, a daughter of the late Jessie James "Jed" and Ethel Louise Rhodes. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers and quilting.
She is survived by her husband, Everett Leonard Little; one daughter, Hattie Starcher of Orma; one step-daughter, Mayjean Lowe of Reedy; eight sons, Gerald of Marietta, Ohio, Fred, Commodore, Joe, Robert "Bubby", and Davey, all of Grantsville, and Harley "Whitey" and Harlan "Blackie", both of Spencer; one step-son, James Little of Lexington, Ky.; four brothers, Jim, Sam and David Rhodes, all of Cottageville, and Doc Rhodes of Parkersburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven children and four sisters.
Services will be p.m. Thursday at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, with Rev. Carl Marks officiating. Burial will be in Hur Cemetery, Calhoun County.
