      PARKERSBURG - Flossie M. Eakin, 94, of Parkersburg and Unity Plaza passed away Feb. 3, 2004, at her residence.

      She was born in Roane County, a daughter of the late Ord and Ethel Gandee Conley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Eakin; one son, Gary Eakins; one sister, Naomi Miller; and seven brothers, Roy, Ray, Ross, infant Claudie, Edwin, Irvin and Brice Conley.

      Flossie had taught school in Roane County, had worked for American Viscose Company and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, was an avid reader and had attended South Parkersburg Baptist Church.

      She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Eakins and his wife, Mary, of Mineral Wells, Robert Eakins and Linda Dye of Parkersburg, Roger Eakins of Parkersburg; two daughters and their husbands, Carol and Barry Yoho and Shirley and Frank Davis, all of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; five sisters, and two brothers-in-law, Sybil Lemon of South Charleston, Thelma Hughes of Hemet, Calif., Mildred and T. Leslie Turner of Tulsa, Okla., Alice and Jack Miller of Spencer, Janet Smith of Elyria, Ohio; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, James Conley of Ravenswood, Jason and JoAnn Conley of Charleston.

      Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Southside, Parkersburg, with Pastor Ed Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.

      Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
