EVANS - Nellie Frances Casto, 74, of Evans, West Virginia, departed this life Monday, July 7, 2003, in Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, West Virginia, following an extended illness.
She was born October 13, 1928, in Evans, daughter of the late John Henry and Virginia Belle Davis Sayre.
She was a homemaker. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 157 in Mason, West Virginia, and was a member of the Cherokee Homemakers Club in New Haven, West Virginia.
She attended the Parchment Valley Baptist Church in Ripley.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Shelley and Charles Barr of Pauline, South Carolina, and Kimberly and Billy Clendenin of Evans; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Cody Barr, and Joshua and Samantha Clendenin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar O Casto Jr.; and a sister, Betty Hunt
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2003, in the Casto Funeral Home in Evans, with the Rev Herman Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery at Evans. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003, followed by an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m.
