Dorothy M. Hune
Dorothy Mae Hune, 71, of East Eighth Street, Williamstown, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg.
She was born Oct. 28, 1934, in Wood County, W.Va., to Delbert and Freda L. Casto Ward. She was a graduate of Williamstown High School. She had been employed at First Bank in Marietta and later retired from Monongahela Power Co. Dorothy was a member of the First Congregational Church in Marietta and a member of Eastern Star and Senior Citizens, both in Williamstown. She was active in the Marietta Gideons. She enjoyed sewing, time spent with her family, playing the piano and Bunko.
She is survived by her husband, Edward E. Hune, whom she married on Oct. 5, 1952; a son, Randy Hune (Pam) of Williamstown; two grandsons, Brandon Hune (Danielle) of Pickerington, Ohio, and Adam Hune (Crystal) of Williamstown; granddaughter, Heather Hune of Williamstown; great-granddaughter, Hannah Hune of Pickerington; and three brothers, Dick Ward (Mary), Bill Ward and Dave Ward (Julie), all of Williamstown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Delbert "Bud," Michael and Stephan Ward.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Linda Steelman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and all day Thursday at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, and for one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
