Born October 5, 1935, in Charleston, Orville was a son of the late Hoyt and Lona (Rhodes) Jones. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Opal, Carolyn and Eden; children, Brenda, Dennis and Toney Jones; and the mother of his children, Deloris J. Jones. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Fla. Orville enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards with friends, spending time with his beloved dog, Precious and caring and loving for his family. Orville is survived by his companion, Barbara Philbrook; siblings, Darrell Jones, Richard Jones (Ann), Juanita Pridemore, Beulah Potter (Bruce), Phyllis Withrow (Jerry), Ruth Zorn, Janet Fields (Rick) and Larry Jones (Linda); son, Ricky Jones (Becky); daughter, Linda Jones; grandsons, Keith Paul (Stacey), Anthony Jones (Lanna), Nick Jones (Dixi) and Tyler Jones (Christina); granddaughters, Lisa Young-Epperly (Jay) and Melanie Gill (Tracy); and great-grandchildren, Kody, Macayla, Baleigh, Breana, Zackary, Ayla, Lily, Kayleb, Kayden, Kimberlynn, Marley, Brenin and Keith Jr. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Barbara for taking such loving care of Orville. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave., St. Albans, with Pastor Don Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in Billy Hunt Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
