  Notes	Jane Kessel Lathey, 99, of Ripley passed away January 1, 2011 at Eldercare of West Virginia, Ripley following a long illness. She was born June 14, 1911 in Ripley, a daughter of the late Dennis and Ella Corbin Kessel. She graduated from Dunbar High School, was a homemaker and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church at Given. She is survived by a son, Stanley Lathey and his wife Mary of Given; a daughter, Ella Faith Johnson and her husband Everett of Given; a sister, Mary Casto of Atlanta; grandchildren, Cindy Sansbury, Rick Lathey, Annette Griffith and Michael Johnson; great-grandchildren, Ashli Samples, Ambra Lathey, Mandy Sansbury, Derek Lathey, Rebecca Griffith and Zane Griffith; and a great-great-grandchild, Blake Samples. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Clyde H. Lathey; brothers, Curtis Kessel, Troy Kessel, Oliver Kessel and Vaughn Kessel; and sisters, Faith Frey, Alice Lankfoote and Zora Harbert. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Given. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
