Kenneth D. Watson, 69, of Belpre died Wednesday Nov. 4, 2009, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Elizabeth, W.Va., a son of the late Dock and Sylvia (Shears) Watson.
He attended Wirt County High School and worked for several years for RA Miller Produce and Miller Produce in Belpre. He retired from Elkem Metals after 20 years. He was an avid sportsman, member of the Coon Hunters Association for many years in Barlow, Ohio, St. Marys, W.Va., and Belleville, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ramona (Cox) Watson; daughter, Darlene Gum; son, Mitch Watson (Dena); and grandchildren, Justin and Ben Gum and Nathan and Audrey Watson, all of Belpre; brother, Roy Watson of Elizabeth; sister, Donna Randolph of Ripley, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Evan Watson Sr., Ray "Jack" Watson and Carlos "Mick" Watson, and one grandson, Shelby Elaine Gum.
Services will be Sunday, 2 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery of Belpre. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-8 p.m.
