Henry "Frye" Carte Sr., 81, of Sissonville died Dec. 4, 1998, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, after a short illness.
He was a retired pipeline welder/co-owner of C&C Fabrication Inc., a member of Pipeliners Union, Masonic Lodge 168, South Charleston, and Scottish Rites body and was a lifelong resident of Sissonville.
Surviving: wife, Rona I. Carte of Ripley; daughter, Barbara J. Martin of Kenna; sons, Jimmy W. of Ripley, Ralph E. of Paradise, La., Roger L. and Henry E. Jr., both of Sissonville; sister, Madlyn Newhouse of Elkview; brother, Matthew T. Carte Sr. of Elkview; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with the Rev. Jack L. Miller officiating. Burial, with Masonic rites by Lodge 168, will be in Thomas-Milam Cemetery, Kenna. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
