AGED MAN DIES
Abraham Lanham, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home on Middle Fork of Poca, Monday morning following a short illness. Despite his 88 years of life, he had enjoyed reasonably good health until just a few days ago, and on last Saturday it seemed apparent that the end was near, and about five o'clock Monday morning he passed quietly away. The remains were interred in the Lanham cemetery by the side of his wife, who preceded him several years ago.
