Grantsville--- William Sampson, 89, of Arnoldsburg, Calhoun County, died Sunday morning at his home.
He was born in Clay County, A son of the late Andrew and Margaret Sampson, he was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Grace, and seven sons, Robert and Virgil, both at home, Elmer, of Spencer, Cecil, of Ohio, George and Russell, both of Reedy, and Harold of Fairmont; three daughters, Mrs. Lorena Stanley, Mrs. Mary Starcher, and Mrs. Stella Tanner, all of Ohio; four half brothers, Harvey and Homer Sampson, both of Shock, Dave and Curt Sampson, both of Nicut; one sister, Mrs. Jane Dickey of Nicut; 40 grandchildren, and 32 great grand-children.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Orma United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Stump Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
