      INDORE - Maude Muller Burdette, 84, of Indore, W.Va., died at home Feb. 27, 2004.

      She was born Feb. 15, 1920, at Indore, to the late John Emerson and Kezia Zipporah Holcomb Rogers. She was a faithful member of the Lizemore Church of the Nazarene, where she served for many years as the Sunday school secretary. Maude was a loving, cheerful, and supportive mother and friend.

      She was preceded in death by first husband, George Herbert Brown; her second husband, Ted Burdette; brothers, Booker, Sibert, and Robert Rogers; sisters, Ina King and Velma Moore; and stepdaughter, Laura Gray.

      She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Debbie Brown of Clendenin; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Glen Workman of Bickmore; one sister, Madeline Cottrell of Indore, W.Va.; a nephew and his wife, Greg and Christy Starcher of Marmet; grandchildren, Nicholas Starcher of Marmet, and Lilly Gould of Pinch; adopted daughters, Rosalynne Brown of Neenah, Wis., and Judy Edwards of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepsons, Jerry Burdette of Nashville, Tenn., and Wayne Burdette of Procious; stepdaughters, Eloise Morrison of Radcliff, Ky., Jackie King of Dunbar, Linda Bird of Elkview, and Sharon Samples of Culloden; and several adopted and step-grandchildren.

      Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2004, at Lizemore Church of the Nazarene, Lizemore, with the Rev. William Dawson and the Rev. Robert Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Bickmore.

      Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay.
