  Notes	Putnam Post Norvil U. Morton, 90, of Poca died August 26, 2003, in Hubbard Hospice House following a 1 1/2 year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy Morrisette and Barbara Kang, and three grandsons. He attended the Winfield Church of Christ and was retired from FMC, South Charleston, with 37 years of service. Surviving: wife, Virgie; daughters, Wanda Randolph of Red House and Glenna Tucker of Millwood; sons, Norvil E. “Doc” Morton of Hurricane, Jess Morton of Ravenswood and Bill Morton of Buffalo; stepdaughters, Drema Ward of Poca, Karen Humphrey of Nitro and Sharon Miller of Rockport, Indiana; stepsons, Lynden Lett of Poca and Toney Lett of Nitro; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Service was held Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, with Minister George Erwin officiating. Burial was in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House. The family wishes to thank Kanawha Hospice Care for their wonderful help at home and Hubbard Hospice House for their loving care in the last days.
